Welcome to Patty Schuchman Photography!  I am a natural and studio light photographer in Northern Virginia serving Loudoun, Fairfax and Clarke counties primarily.  I will travel to your location, or you can come to my studio in Round Hill, Virginia.  I have lived in Virginia for 22 years, and western Loudoun county for 8 years with my husband and two sons, who now both attend James Madison University.  I have always been an active participant in my son’s schools, from elementary to high school.  I always look for ways to give back to my community, and look forward to hearing from local schools especially with any photographic needs. 

My photography “career” actually started 27 years ago when I first purchased a 35mm camera and fell in love.  I see things “through the viewfinder” even without my camera sometimes, and LOVE watching light fall and shadows play.   

I strive to find the perfect balance in my business, hoping to deliver photos that make you think “wow”.  I don’t want to force smiles, but will work with my subjects to find the natural expressions and a comfortable stance to bring out true personalities.   I specialize in senior portrait photography, but also offer services for families, children, maternity and events.  In addition, I enjoy corporate photography such as headshots and small business marketing shots. 

My studio is in my home, which is actually located in Bluemont, Virginia (with a Round Hill mailing address).  It is only 8 miles from Purcellville, VA and conveniently located close to Route 7 east bound for folks traveling from Leesburg, Hamilton, Lovettsville, Berryville, Lincoln, and points east such as Sterling and Ashburn.
